Dog Day

I’ve declared this week animal week, and today is Dog day! (At least on this website, perhaps not everywhere else!) Cat day is likely to follow in a few days’ time!

I’ve been experimenting with my animal portraits, as I’ve had some lovely commissions over the past few years. I’ve been trying out a range of small portraits, which can stand alone either on a wooden stand, or on a small easel (along the lines of my smaller original paintings). I haven’t quite got as far as featuring them anywhere on the website, so this is just a taster, but I’m getting there, and pleased with the experiments so far! If anyone would like a painting of their own animal in this style (or any other - please see the Commissions page!) please get in touch!

Please note these particular portraits are not for sale - they have gone to their owners!

My handsome subjects are Bailey, Charlie and Mario - and a side shot in the last one to give you an idea of the block and stand.

Keep an eye out for Cat Day soon!
