Inky Print Books

“Inky Print Books” are my latest venture: I’ve found bookbinding a fascinating task, so I hope you will keep an eye on my notebook escapades! Each notebook is made individually, so they are all unique. I’m using a variety of covers, materials and bindings, so please read the description of each item carefully, so you know what you’re getting.

At present there are two main styles of notebook available - See below

Shop Handmade Notebooks

Square open spine notebooks

These notebooks are available individually, and some of them also feature in my Gift Boxes, which include other stationery items too. You can find all these in the website shop

These plain paper notebooks feature my own designs on the cover, printed on tactile upholstery-style soft fabric (I love seeing my own work printed on fabric, it gives it a whole new look!) I sew the books with a variety of coloured threads, using a version of coptic binding, which means the spine of the book is on show, and the book will open flat.

Each book has a different design of endpaper - I can’t claim the credit for the designs on them at present, I use various attractive craft papers for these. I might look into creating my own endpapers at some point! - so each book is unique. The books have limited edition covers: I don’t intend to make more than 50 of any cover design, to keep things fresh! (And make me do more art as well as bookbinding!)

Two designs of softcover notebook available at present: The covers are taken from two of my original paintings: “Look Up” and “A Walk in the Woods”. These are printed on a waterproof, canvas fabric

A5(ish) Softcover Notebooks

These notebooks are handsewn with a chain link binding, which goes through the internal pages and the cover, securing them all together. The cover picture extends across the front and back of the book, and each book has colourful endpapers made from craft paper.

As with the Square books, I only intend to make 50 of each cover, to add variety and to keep me painting new designs, so these books are also limited edition, and each one is different.
