Cat Day

Following on from my previous News post about Dog day, it seemed only fair to highlight a Cat day! I’ve also painted a few cat portraits recently; again trying out small portraits to see how they work. In contrast to my dogs, the cats have been painted on small canvas boards to be displayed on little wooden stands - as shown in Tango's portrait below.

The portraits can be painted on either the thin boards or the wood blocks (like the dogs) it’s just a matter of preference. I aim to move on to other animals too, so at some point there might be a “small mammals day”!

My lovely subjects here are Eric, Minnie and Tango.

As before, although trying out this small portrait range (both the wood blocks and these canvas boards are approx 6x6”) I am quite happy to consider different sizes and types of commissions - and it doesn’t have to be animals! Please have a look at the Commissions page for further information
