Viking Mugs and Cards

The Galloway Hoard, a collection of Viking-Age Treasure, was discovered by metal-detectorists in Balmaghie Parish, Galloway, in 2014.

A proportion of the Hoard was exhibited at Kirkcudbright Galleries in 2021/2022 and during this time I created my small Viking and Anglo-Saxon characters to decorate greetings cards and in honour of the Hoard’s temporary return to Galloway.

Currently the Rock Crystal Jar, one of the Galloway Hoard’s rare artefacts, is being exhibited at Kirkcudbright Galleries, and therefore my Vikings are making a reappearance. This time they are on mugs, which are available to purchase (cards still available too!)

The Rock Crystal Jar exhibition is on in Kirkcudbright up until June 2026, and well worth a visit. Please see the links below for further information.
