To Frame or not to Frame

Framing is sometimes a difficult decision. It’s quite a personal thing, so a frame I choose for one of my paintings may not appeal to someone who wants to buy the painting.

This is why I mainly have only my larger original paintings, or those I want to submit for exhibitions professionally framed. Occasionally, however, I come across a nice secondhand frame which I can put one of my paintings in. There is an example below:

I can’t decide which suits the painting best. (The two framed versions will probably have glass in, but that’s very difficult to photograph!) “Dusk” will be for sale in my folksy shop very soon - possibly with the framing/not framing options above unless I make a decision!
