Something a little different

You might notice among my new cards that there is one which doesn’t really fit into the Autumn/Winter/Christmas category. This is “Upward” an experimental painting which came about when a friend commented that she liked paintings which showed the sky as though you were looking up at it. “Could you do one with a sunset?” she asked.

So I did. This painting was done in mixed media (acrylic, ink, pencils and chalk pastel) on Crescent Art board (lovely stuff!) My customer supplied a frame for the painting, and it went off to its new home a few days ago!

I was so pleased at how it had turned out that I ordered cards of the same design - which are available on the website, as mentioned above.

And then it was a cushion….

This is also one of the designs I used as an entry into the Wraptious winter cushion competition. Only a proportion of the image would fit onto a square cushion, but I’m very pleased with how it looks!
