A small success

It’s always nice to go and visit a mixed Art Exhibition, and even more interesting when your own work is displayed alongside other peoples. Bearing this in mind, I went along to the DAGFAS Spring Exhibition at the Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kirkcudbright last week, to have a look….

….Only to discover the exciting news that one of the three paintings I had on show had been sold!

“Look Up”

This painting was done in mixed media, and was great fun to create. Covering my inability to decided on an exact style, this successfully combined my interests: A sweeping sky, where I had fun playing with colour, and smaller details in the foreground.

I hope the new owner of this piece enjoys it! I shall miss it on my studio wall!
