A Fox and his feet

I have a new small painting listed among the “Small Original Paintings and Gifts” called Snowflakes. This unoriginal title was where I began the picture - to see what I could do with something a bit wintry. I was rather pleased with the effect I managed to get, using a variety of acrylic paints, pens and ink, and, having added trees to my snowflake design, I then included a fox, watching the falling snow, which gave it a nice contrast of colour. This is where I ran into a problem. Like my other recent small designs, I planned to give this one a little wooden stand, no frame, no complications, easy to display. BUT when I did this, Mr Fox lost his feet. That’ll teach me to paint close to the edge…..

So I took the painting along to my very helpful framer, and “Snowflakes” is now available for sale in a gold coloured frame (which I’m actually really pleased with!) See what you think!
